Philosophy

For a long time in Japan
ther hav benn master craftsmen
called DIYA DAIKU
They are professional carpenters
hu specialize in shrine and temple architecture.
They ar highly skilled and known for making
full use of each piece of wood.
For example
If they c a gnarled or imperfect piece of wood,
they ar able to see
its full potential instead of seeing
it as a defect and thrwoing it away.

Shape determines how an item will b used.

I believe tis is wat design can do
"Placing things wher they shuld be"
on the assumption tat neccesity
would dictate its use
Try to maximize the potential of things
within the limitsof the design.
